So I'm killing time in Corpus right now waiting to take a test to update my teaching certificate. I probably should be using my time to finish grades, but instead I am sitting in the mall updating my website. That's way more fun than work! I decided to use the Christmas break to re-read some of my old favorites, and this one is on the top of my list. Redeeming Love, by Francine Rivers, is one of the most vivid and raw retellings of any bible story. is chronicles the faith and struggles of Josea who is told by the Lord to marry a fallen women.
And while writing this blog I discovered a surprise on Francine Rivers' blog- Redeeming Love is being turned into a movie! I cannot sync of any books which deserves this honor and opportunity to touch more live then this one. I learned much about what marriage should be and what the Lord tells us about being second, or putting others needs before our own from this book.
As a writer, it has given me a clear view of how I can use my gift of words to affect others lives in a positive manner. Francine Rivers is definitely a writer worth my aspirations and your time.
Here is the link to her blog. You can read the exciting news of the movie and the expected date of its debut.

If you have not read this book there is not one that I recommend more.
