The Screwtape Letters

I am totally stepping out of my cozy Young Adult and Chick Lit genres to read something special.  C.S. Lewis wrote much more than just the Narnia series.  In The Screwtape Letters, two demons named Screwtape and Wormwood, try to tempt and corrupt a human known as "The Patient."  So far, what I have read and seen online, this story tells of the importance of living a Christian life.  A friend "kindled my curiosity" and now I have no choice but to read this story, just to prove that I can!  So far it makes me think back to college, when I read Dante's Inferno.  I don't believe the two stories are similar, but I don't have much to compare it to right now.

I'll let you know how it goes.  Here's the Lewis' website, if you're interested in this or any of his other musings of his own Christian journey:

Whispers at Moonrise

So I just started a new book, Whispers at Moonrise. It is #4 in a series by C.C. Hunter. It's got all of the wonderful fantastical characters I love to hate- vampires, werewolves, faeries, and shape shifters. But the main character has just discovered she is something different from the whole crazy Shadow Falls camp- Kylie Galen is a chameleon.

This series is out there, for sure! I love it. Start with the first one, Born at Midnight! I've got them all if anyone wants to borrow.

Check this out on AMZN:

It doesn't get any more real than this! Like all my social media indicates I am an English teacher at Reagan High School.  I love my students as much as I do my own four children.  I enjoy YA Lit and Cadbury eggs.  I spend most of my daylight hours in overdrive, like most mothers.  Many ask me how I manage to accomplish so much, and although I have answered in various ways, the one solid truth in my life is Jesus Christ who makes all things possible.
Borrego is the name of my current project. Check out this novel and more on my website or on Amazon.com.
